First things first – all climbers need a valid waiver to enter the climbing area at Stone Gardens. If you are under 18 years of age this waiver must be signed by your parent or court appointed legal guardian. The Waiver can be completed online ahead of time or upon your first visit to the gym. Once you have a valid waiver on file with us it is valid at both locations.
After completing your waiver all new customers are required to receive our Orientation. This is a brief introduction to our facility and Stone Gardens Rules. It takes just a few minutes and must be completed upon your first visit to the gym.
All visitors are expected to read, understand and follow Stone Gardens Rules at all times. Please click on the link to read them over before your first visit and see our Staff with any questions.
Adults and youths over the age of 14 are always welcome to boulder in the gym. Bouldering is climbing without a rope and you can do it in a group or alone. With the purchase of a day pass and a pair of rental shoes you can explore climbing on your own. You can do this anytime that the gym is open for any duration of time. If you are looking for a last minute activity bouldering is a great option.
Stone Gardens Seattle requires that children 13 years of age and younger be directly supervised by an adult while climbing in the gym. The supervising adult must complete a Stone Gardens waiver and our orientation. The supervising adult must agree, in writing, to stay with the youth climbers at all times and ensure they follow Stone Gardens Rules.
If you prefer to have one of our instructors introduce you to climbing call our front desk to book a Pro Belay. Our Pro Belay is a great way to climb for the first time. You and your group of up to 4 climbers can take turns climbing while our instructor manages the rope for you. All gear is included in this session. There is no age minimum for this activity. You can also get started by taking our Climbing 101 class. This class covers equipment, tying in, climbing commands, belaying and safety. This class includes a two week membership in the gym to allow you to practice your new found skills.
We also offer a Womens Intro program. Come join other women new to climbing while our instructors guide you through the basics of climbing. We will boulder, top rope and most of all learn what all that means.See our Adult Instruction page.
If you plan to climb or boulder on your own, without an instructor, no reservations are needed.
