We are open 365 days a year. Monday – Friday from 6am until 11pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 10pm. Exceptions: July 4th (10am – 4pm) Thanksgiving (10am – 2pm), Christmas Eve (Close at 4pm), Christmas Day (12pm – 5pm), Boxing Day(the day after Christmas), (10am – 11pm), New Year’s Eve (Close at 7pm) and New Years Day (Open at 11am).

Our Pro Belay is a great way to climb for the first time. You can form a group of up to 4 climbers taking turns climbing while our instructor manages the rope. All gear is included. No age minimum. Call to schedule your Pro Belay.
If you would prefer to experience climbing on your own you can purchase a day pass, rent a pair of shoes and boulder (climb at low heights with no rope) on your own.
No. We have rental gear.
Old shoes are fine to wear. Old harnesses are a different story. Do not use any harness more than 10 years old.
Wear clothes that are comfortable and allow movement.
Yes. We also have a free towel service.
Yes. Please bring your own lock or purchase one in our Pro Shop.

It is normal to be afraid of heights! Learning to deal with this fear is part of climbing.
Children younger than 5 are welcome to climb in our gym but our formalized instruction begins at age 5. Check out our Youth Programs.
A child can climb in our gym as long as they have a current waiver signed by their parent or guardian. All children under age 12 must be under direct adult supervision while in the gym. Please note Stone Gardens Bellevue requires that children under the age of 12 be part of a staffed event (Pro-Belay, Group Climb, Jr. Program, etc.) or directly supervised by a member or other experienced climber. Mondays through Thursdays from 7 till 9pm plus weekend afternoons.
Bouldering is climbing without a rope. Falls are onto a padded flooring system.
Top roping is climbing with a rope attached to your harness and a belayer to catch your falls.

In order to belay in our gym you must pass our belay test. Any of our front desk staff can administer this test for you and there is no need to make an appointment. In this test you will need to correctly and safely:
Put on your harness
Tie yourself in as the climber with a rewoven figure eight knot and a back up knot
Explain the climber and belayer safety check
Set up to belay with a tube style or ATC belay device
Use climbing commands
Exhibit safe belaying technique with a designated brake hand on the braking side of the rope at all times
Catch a few mock falls
